Use evidence responsibly.

These terms apply to server owners, moderators, and other users of the AltGuard Discord bot, verification service, and owner dashboard.
Service purpose
AltGuard provides verification, risk scoring, giveaway eligibility, reports, and moderation workflow tools. Scores are risk indicators, not identity proof or a guarantee that a member is abusive.
Server-owner responsibilities
- Tell entrants when verification is required and make applicable giveaway rules available.
- Review the evidence and context before bans, payout denial, or other serious action.
- Configure bot permissions, alert channels, thresholds, and protection mode appropriately.
- Follow Discord policies and the laws that apply to the server, giveaway, prize, and participants.
Acceptable use
Do not use AltGuard to harass users, expose private evidence publicly, impersonate the service, bypass Discord controls, probe other servers, operate unlawful giveaways, or claim that a risk score proves fraud. Attempts to abuse verification, overload the service, or access another guild's data are prohibited.
Plans, payments, and refunds
Features depend on the active server plan. Card payments are processed by Polar Software Inc. as merchant of record; Polar is the seller for those orders, issues the invoice, and handles applicable sales tax. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled, and can be cancelled at any time from the billing portal with access continuing to the end of the paid period. Refunds are available within 14 days of a charge, no reason required. Crypto payments remain available on request; they are activated after confirmation and are not reversible on-chain, so do not send one until the server and plan are confirmed.
Availability and changes
Availability depends on Discord, hosting, database, CDN, and VPN-risk providers. Maintenance, provider incidents, rate limits, or abuse controls may interrupt the service. Features and plans may change, but paid commitments will be handled according to the terms confirmed at purchase.
Enforcement
Access may be limited or suspended for abuse, security risk, non-payment, Discord policy violations, or attempts to compromise the service. Where practical, the operator will provide notice and a chance to resolve the issue.
Disclaimers and liability
AltGuard is provided as a risk-reduction tool. It cannot detect every alternate account or prevent every false positive, outage, chargeback, or payout dispute. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service operator is not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits, or owner decisions made without reasonable evidence review.
